Karzai wants to build more prisons in Kabul

Today, President Hamid Karzai announced that his government would build new prisons for detainees transferred from the US detention center in Guantanamo Bay.

According to the media, the U.S military would take back hundreds of Afghan prisoners held in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The prison for these detainees would be completed within two years, said Karzai.

It is unknown under what circumstances Karzai acquiesced to the US demand to transfer the prisoners, but one thing is obvious: all those who were transferred are now going to be transferred by the CIA rendition operation, snatching people from their homes and villages and transferring them to Guantanamo Bay.

It is extraordinary how such things are happening right now, but what would you say when the empire flexes its muscle?
