Negotiating their own genocide
The world we live in now has become more Orwellian than Orwell's. Palestinians have been forced to negotiate to end their own genocide. If we were reading this in Orwell's 1984, we might have dismissed it as a dystopian fantasy. But it is unfolding in our reality, before our very eyes. Our feeble comprehension can do little but to lay bare our confusion and bewilderment and our utter inability to make sense of the events, leaving us only to quietly ask ourselves: Is any of this real?
