American bombs vs. Pakistani bombs: a question for the warmonger
Zalmai Khalilzad, an Afghan-Pashtun, who brought American bombs on his people, and in his memoir, vaunts about it, describing how obediently he followed the policies (read instructions), and how faithful he was to his boss, and now, suddenly, he appears as someone against bombs.
For 20 years, as US and allied forces occupied Afghanistan, Khalilzad was a staunch supporter of bombing the homes of Afghanistani people. In 2019 alone, the US dropped over 7,400 bombs on Afghanistan.
Now, here are a few questions for you:
Were you not among those who, in effect, called those bombers down upon people's homes, particularly the Pashtuns'?
So, I must ask: what has caused your sudden change of heart? Why this newfound opposition to bombs? What is the difference between a Pakistani bomb and an American one?
Which one serves the Afghanistani people the most?
In your expert opinion, which bomb brings peace, and which one brings only death?
And, most revealing of all, which bomb ultimately serves your interests?
Your memoir is a testament to servitude and a chronicle of toadying Republican leaders and warmongering generals. You were one of the architects of the destruction - alongside Ashraf Ghani and other Pashtuns - rained upon Afghanistan, a champion of the bombs that leveled Afghanistani homes.
I, too, am against the bombs. But I am against all bombs. So I am curious what prompted your sudden epiphany? What makes your opposition to violence any different from the position you held for twenty years when you had money flowing to your pockets? Help us understand the moment you realized the destruction you once helped orchestrate was finally wrong.
